ACC Free Tuition Pilot Program
In August 2024, Austin Community College (ACC) launched a five-year Free Tuition Pilot Program. The program provides free ACC tuition to high school and homeschool graduates from the classes of 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028 who graduated from an ISD in ACC’s service area.
The following are important takeaways of the pilot program:
- The ACC Free Tuition program is available to eligible students for a period of three (3) years beginning the first fall semester after their high school graduation/GED® completion.
- Students who choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree at ACC can get an additional two (2) years of free tuition at ACC for a total of five (5) years.
- All students are encouraged to apply for financial aid and scholarships to help alleviate other expenses, such as textbooks, supplies, transportation, and other living expenses.
- Students cannot defer semesters. If a student chooses not to enroll in a given semester, they forfeit free tuition funding for that semester.
